Where to start
The recycling centre sits north of the city. You can also carry a recycler with you if you'd rather
work where the scrap is.
The work
Feed things into the machine and it breaks them down into materials — iron, steel, metal scrap,
rubber, plastic and so on. Old electronics, unwanted weapons and general junk all go in.
It pays no wage at all. What it gives you is materials, and materials are what everything else in
the city is built from.
Getting paid
You aren't, directly. You sell what comes out, or you use it. Crafters and mechanics buy materials
steadily, so there's a reliable trade if you can be bothered to find the buyers.
Worth knowing
- Dumpsters around the city hold scrap for free. Start there.
- Know what a material sells for before you break something down — some things are worth more whole.
